Hey all, I have an '07 G35x automatic with 100,000 miles on it. I just have a few questions--

I've noticed a rattle upon acceleration and upon startup/idle, especially when cold. It sounds like an exhaust shield, but I'm not sure.

Around 1800-1900 RPM (around 40 MPH) the car shutters, and seems to hesitate if I slow down and then accelerate rapidly.

Should I be concerned about either of these? I can't for the life of me recall if I've had this problem before (I moved to an area where everyone drives 35-40 MPH when I used to do all highway driving, so it's just become more noticeable).

Also, as I'm hitting 100K miles, what should I be thinking about for maintenance?
I just did the air filters, oil change, new tires... what about tranny flush?

Have you ever had the throttle bodys cleaned? if not that could be the issue as far as the low rpm hesitation is concerned. take your car to any muffler shop and they should be able to trace the exhaust and weld back any loose heat shields.

I've also noticed the touchy throttle which seems to be a concurrent problem with this one. Do I need to bring it to a dealership to have the ECU reflashed? Or can my regular mechanic do it?
