Extended Warranty

So I just bought a fully loaded 07 g35x from the infiniti dealer in town with 70,000 miles. They are offering an extended warranty for the car and I have the option of a 2 year, 3 year or 4 year with a 0$ deductible or 100$ deductible. My dad thinks that I should consider the 3 year with 100$ deductible which would be 1900$ The 0$ deductible is 2300$. Most of the modding I plan on doing is visual stuff and I am very good at doing my own car work. I do tend to be a semi-aggressive driver and may start doing a few autocross races. Should I get a warranty?

Is the extended warranty with infiniti or with a 3rd party company. If its with a 3rd party, research them and see if they actually will pay when something breaks.

It wouldn't hurt to get a second quote on the price. Check with Courtney at Infiniti of Scottsdale ( eliteprotectionplan@gmail.com )

Let us know if you go through with it and how much you paid for it.

^^ +1

The decision to buy one or not is up to you, but as mentioned here, you should DEFINITELY compare the pricing from a few of the online Infinti dealerships (Scottsdale and Circle at a minimum). You have to pay for an inspection (usually $100-150), but the potential savings are still substantial!. Also, as long as you're not in FL, then it shouldn't matter where you buy the warranty from; all Infiniti dealerships will honor it just the same. Just having a price quote from one of the discount seller can be used to haggle your local dealer back down to earth with their pricing if you still decide to buy one locally.

I decided against the warranty since I don't want to owe more on the car and I can do a lot of stuff myself. I did contact Infiniti of Scottsdale and their quotes were about 200$ cheaper. Thanks for the advice guys.
