Navigation icon drives off the road
Navigation icon drives off the road
I've searched for others who have had this issue but haven't found anything yet.
Here's my issue. I have NO mods whatsoever to my 2008 G35x with nav. Still running 2007-08 map data. When I'm driving the GPS tracks me on the road fine but about 5 minutes in it just drives the icon off the road. Occasionally it happens immediately - like still in my driveway. The map will be doing 360s and the car is parked. It sometimes finds the road again depending on how many turns I make. This happens on clear whether days when it says I have 3 GPS satellite locks.
I've tried the diagnostics and everything lights up as connected and the antenna status is good.
I'm about to go outside to try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes.
Anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it? Will an ECU reset reset the navigation?

I had a similar issue where my navi showed I was 20 miles in the Pacific ocean.... I took it in for warranty and they had to replace the whole nav unit.....
I forgot exactly where, but that setting that shows you how many satellites you are connected to, and shows your longitude/latitude.... mine showed it was not connected at all when i had the prob....
