Ehh, IMHO, I don't see a difference between Costco Techs and Firestone Techs. Costco Tire Center actually damaged my side mirrors on my Lexus LS430 and denied any wrongdoing.

You'll get bad mechanics anywhere. I have seen some great Firestone mechanics and some bad ones. It really depends on where you go. A couple of bad reviews at some Firestone locations doesn't mean all Firestone locations are bad.

I have the lifetime alignment service from Firestone (only paid $129) and I can do as many alignments as I want, which is crucial especially in pothole ridden areas in the Northeast. I get my alignments done every couple of months and have had great service from Firestone, and never had any problems like what others mentioned online about them. (If it really was that bad, Firestone would be already out of business, right?)

Most places already charge $70-$80 for a 4 wheel alignment. Dealers charge $129.

Oh, it's waaaay more than a couple.

All I can say to that is that you often get what you pay for.

Sadly, no.

If you have found good luck with your local center, then that's great, but I sure wouldn't recommend them as a whole.

I believe it is like that everywhere. I had to special order mine too. Our cars are pretty special

Let me know what price you've been quoted for all four excluding taxes, if you don't mind.
