Car almost stalls, but doesn't..

hey guys,

i'm getting this weird behavior.. when i come to a stop (red light) my rpm drops down to just below 600 and feels like it going to stall for a split second. then the rpm goes just above 600 for a second then rests on 600rpm.

there's no check engine light or any other warning light. the car drives AMAZING and i have ZERO issues at the moment.

anyone else experience this?

oh, and i had my throttle bodies cleaned about 2 years ago.

I got the same from time to time, and sometimes it would actually stall on me

I am thinking mine would need the TB to be cleaned (almost 60k miles)

If you let it sit at idle for an extended period of time does it repeat this behavior or once it settles out does it stay steady? If it's doesn't remain steady for long and keeps bouncing around every now and then it could be a MAF issue, you could try taking the sensor out and hitting it with some contact cleaner if you like, easy enough and couldn't hurt.

it's steady at 600rpm once it settles out.

I'd clean the throttle body first before checking MAF. 2 years ago is a long time ago.

TB is your answer. Pick up a few cans from autozone and you can DIY clean them in an hour. Make sure to disconnect your battery before cleaning.
Good luck

Just so you've seen it, here's a post with a link for an ITB on a similar issue: https://g35driver.com/forums/6783166-post29.html
