Fan speed **** stopped working?

Put in a sub and amp recently and everything is fine except the fan **** isn't working anymore. You can still push it for a/c but turning it renders no response. Anyone had something like this happen before? Wiring is all good and I'm absolutely positive it worked before, and apologies if there is a specific section in a hurry atm

check your fuse box for blown fuses first

What year is your car? We dont have "Fan *****" we have "Fan speed buttons"

Perhaps you have an older model?

The fuses are all good. And I have a 2007 base model. Not sure what fan speed button you have but i have a **** for the fan speed and push for a/c. I took it to best buy just to see if they have heard anything like this happening and they seem to think that it's computer based like as in when I unhooked battery it reset whatever computer chip controls the fan speed and you would probably have to reset that computer chip or have to load it again I don't even know

wildogs is right in saying that all 07+ G35 models(base journey sports etc) have buttons not ***** for the fan. It does however have ***** for the temperature. even 07 coupes have buttons if i remember right.

All G35 sedan models have same climate controls like in this pic which has buttons for fan speed. Post a pic of your interior so we can see which **** youre talking about/which year your car is. And if really is an 07 with **** for fan speed iv never seen or heard of that before so it would be nice to know

Lol...looks like someone doesn't know what their car has even after owning it...I would think that your amp and sub drew too much power and maybe shorted out something in your climate control system. You could try resetting the system by unplugging the battery for a while and see if that fixes it.

Electrical issues such as this one are extremely hard to diagnose, especially online. You might have to find an electrician to figure out what broke in your car.

Mind blown.

I stand corrected, never knew there were g's with no dual climate zone control

Wow...yeah I forgot. All v36 Infiniti G35x's that were sold had to have the dual zone climate control because Journey was required. Does your car even have a sunroof? I've seen some G's that don't have one.

That's what you get living in the northeast.

Nope, no sunroof either, as base as it gets. Really would have liked to have one but had to compromise, can't complain love the car

thanks for the pics else i would never have believed it lol! so youre saying that when you press that **** the AC doesnt turns on and either can u change the fan speed. Can you use the other features on the climate control module like the rear defrost or front defrost and change the circulation settings?

If not and all fuses are fine then it could be that the climate control module got shorted while amp was installed, however if other controls work it would make it a bit more trickier to troubleshoot

Well, just from a basic troubleshooting approach, what was last changed/disturbed between the time it was working and then stopped working. Start there, and go with the simplest stuff first. Did you see the work being done? Was that panel opened up at all? Is it possible they didn't plug a connector back in completely? or left a ground off?

This is where it gets confusing is that **** is still working when I push it to turn a/c on and off just turning it to adjust fan speed isn't working and I know it worked before because that's all I used was that ****. I've taken it to a best buy and had them look to see if anything looks wrong and they have no idea
