Im new to Infiniti but not new to cars in general I came from the Audi side of the world.
Had a 2001.5 Casablanca White S4. Now have a 2007 G35s

Question is -
The previous owner claims there is a Uprev Chip in the car. Z1 Motorsport says they place a sticker on the ECU if they did the work. I didnt see the sticker on the ECU.
Issue is Z1 says they disable the rear O2 but the codes come up with p0420 and p0430
How would I know if there is a chip installed ? I have seen the Cruise Control but that doesnt function on this car.
I need to disable the codes if possible....
My thoughts are its not even there. I would like to verify this before I get the Tuner Package.

Find the video for map switching via cruise control, if the cruise light flashes after you switch maps you have uprev. If I remember right you hold down cancel and push the cruise toggle down to switch maps, one is usually the main map, look at the cruise light, it should flash as mant times as you pushed the toggle (set)

 

The video shows if you press the Set on the Cruise Control and then Cancel to change maps - 5 maps in total or something of the sort -
I tried that - my Cruise light is center on the display but it doesn't flash come on nothing.


Does the car have to be running or just "on"?

 

Either on or running, if you turn your cruise on does the light come on, I know you said it doesn't work. It might be possible to flash one map. You might have to find a shop or person with an Uprev cable to see if there is a license on your ECU.

 

Sounds good I will check with the local guys out in Chicago "GRD"
AMS is also available around here but they are a bit farther away than I'd like to travel.
