Long story short...I had a red 07G35 and wife had a white 08G35. After a divorce, I had to sell mine for $$$ and she kept hers. I ended up in a Camry and always had missed the G.

Well, the ex decided my 05 Camry wasn't so bad (bulletproof reliability, way better on gas, cheaper to insure), so we traded a few weeks ago. Of course, some cash was involved, but not too much since the Camry only had 26k miles and the G has 60k.

It is good to be back--though the white G has needed quite a bit of TLC to come up to spec. I changed all the fluids, gave her a nice detail, addressed a weird idle stutter, replaced the infamous steering wheel and door trim, had rust fixed around rear window (from a bad repair of a previous rear end accident), new floormats, did the shifter sand-down and polish, etc....
Hopefully she will be good to go for a while now.

Here is a pic of the old (and missed!) G, and the reacquired G:

Thanks guys! I am 42 now, so I'm starting to tone down on the mods...

BUT, I have to be honest. I considered doing another intake until I remembered the last one sounded great but seemed to cost power.
I considered putting on S wheels, but then I remembered they couldn't be rotated and wore out those pricey Michelins pretty quickly. Plus, I've seen them on other white 07-08 G's around Miami, and they just don't seem to look that great like they did on the red....
Then I thought about the X-pipe, but remembered it didn't even sound much different.

So...maybe I'll do the paddle shifters, the rear OEM spoiler and front lip, and a blacked out roof. Can't do a drop since I just had a full hip replacement. Any ideas/suggestions??

Glad your back. I bet you got some sexy pix of both of those G's in the same garage.

Honestly, I think Paddle shifters are a waste imo. Pointless. & Intakes, I never did and never will do. Sounds great but the small cost in power... ill pass.

I wish I was in miami =/ lol why not Go with G37 19s since youre gonna keep the car for a long time. I cant stand X 17s lol Or go with sport 18s from an XS sedan. I think those are the same all around so you dont have to worry about not doing rotations.

Your age shouldn't matter unless you need to budget for your "Depends and Ensure" !

Supremee--good suggestions!

Dukehotty--you're right--age shouldn't matter, but I do find priorities change quite a bit now after the expense of a divorce and being a father. The depends are still a few years off.....
