So my car got vandalized...

Passenger side front and rear windows busted, and sunroof to add Iinsult to injury. 5 car break ins in a week in my area... And i happened to be one of them. Worse yet, nothing was stolen... Someone did it for kicks.

After 19 days, I got my car back from the glass shop... Several problems.... The idiots fixing the glass didnt clean out the glass well so i now I hear broken glass when I close the door. Bringing it back to the shop tomorrow.

my question is about the glass.... Are the passenger side and driver side windows the same? Or r these windows side specific? I ask because the glass info printed on the glass is on backwards when I try to read it from inside the car... But from the outside, it's read left to right.

Can someone check their front passenger and driver side windows for me from inside the car andlet me know? Thanks

^ not sure why you would 'LOL' at this and presume the OP 'drives like a ricer' and deserves what happened to him... anyways sad to hear this man but this is getting common now with people just hating on other peoples hard earned belongings and/or just doing it 'for the fun of it' and unfortunately i dont see the times getting any better with more people getting frustrated with the nations current situation.

The windows are different between driver and passenger side due to the opposite slight 'curve' on both to fit the window frame. Im sure that the info is supposed to be read from the outside but ill check to make sure

Thats what I thought too... There's the curvature of the glass, so they couldn't possibly be dumb enough to fit a left window on the right side...

Funny thing is, my drivers side window that wasn't smashed has the print that can be read from inside..... As for the passenger side, read from outside... Wtf?

Sorry to hear about your G, had my hood keyed last year so I feel your pain. It does make it worse knowing they did it for the hell of it. Haters...
Stay positive and good look on getting the repairs corrected!

They probably changed where they source the glass from between your oem glass and the replacement glass (even though it's still oem).

No biggie in the end.

Found out today my buddy's g35 has the same deal with the print on the glass being one directional.... So I guess it's normal (unless the previous owner of his had his glass replaced too... Lol)

Finally got liberty mutual to get me dealer glass for the entire passenger side... ;-) The aftermarket crap they gave me doesn't even match.

Sunroof is still some Chinese garbage, but eh.... It's not noticeable.

Glad everything worked out, hope it never happens again but maybe it would be wise to invest in an aftermarket alarm with glass break sensor to keep them from busting more than one hopefully if it were to happen again and it would help take a few $$ off from your insurance as well

Yeah I was disappointed ours isn't an impact alarm... My client is in security and he showed me this motion sensor based video camera... Seemed interesting. Wish our cars had built in black boxes and cameras like all the cars in Korea. It's a factory standard option in all cars over there, real high tech stuff.

i believe the newer g37 come with the impact sensors. i installed the viper system with proximity sensor which is a very handy sensor imo if limits are set correctly
