Ehhh, IMHO, there's way too many strokes involved. Someone would have had to open and close the pliers dozens and dozens of times; and not a single scratch on the adjoining paint. Vandals are usually lazier than that..

Also, notice all the tiny little pit marks on the lower sides, but the top side is completely clean (including the paint). The way pretty much any gnawing animal bites is to 'set' their bottom teeth like an anchor, and then chomp down with their upper teeth in a slicing or scoring fashion, all done repeatedly at hyperactive speed; which is all consisitent with those markings. It looks like many many tiny repeated slices, starting from the upper side and ending toward the lower side.

Maybe you guys will think me crazy, but I've had rats get at/into vehicles before. You can't imagine the amount of damage the litle bastards can do; and it's often completely random . . . like WTH did you chew the wires from the MAF in half for? ...Or the vacuum lines? . . . and why bother to carve out the side of the fan shroud when you could just crawl around it? Just crazy random stuff would be destroyed.

Probably just a jerk trying to mess up your car, but it is easy to break into our cars by messing with the door handle and taking advantage of the auto roll down key feature: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...roll-down.html

I agree with some of the others, very sarcastic answer to someone's real problem, we've all needed some information on a vehicle at one point in our life, so it's nice to see that needless responses pointed out.... now, to your real issue, what paint code is your vehicle? I did this based of K52 paint from the picture....
Outer Escutcheon LH side - 80646-JU61A G35driver price $28.86
Outer Door Handle LH side - 80640-JU61A G35driver price $127.72
these are pre-painted parts, so they will match your vehicle, but will need to know the exact paint code

Might be cheaper to get the door handle form the junk yard and just repaint it yourself.

Where did this happen

can't believe they didn't scratch the door trying to pry on that handle like that. That is pretty weird how the handle is damaged.
Those door handles are not easy to change, not the easiest handles to do. In order to replace the handle the whole door has to be taken apart; trim panel, water shield, door window/glass, belt molding, then the handle. The handle has two sockets for that button, that need to be disconnected on the inside.

I'd say it's about 1.5-3.0 labor hours to replace the handle, probably around $150 if the shop does it for you. . And if you buy new handles, they come pre-painted like Phil said. So around $250-300 for the whole thing. Expensive repair if you ask me. But if you do it yourself, would be a lot cheaper, but you might brake stuff if not experienced enough, so be careful.
