Rapidly Heating Up?

I had an 03 g before and now have an 07. I noticed that it gets to operating temp fast...less than a mile. Is this normal?

Well mine gets to operating temperatures quite quickly too, probably after 5 minutes (1-3km). I'd say that nothing is wrong unless it goes above normal operating temperature (around middle of the gauge).

Yes, it sounds reasonable for a mild temp day; it would be longer if it's freezing out.

BTW, the fact that it does is a good thing.
