I read through that whole thread. It was very interesting. At the very end someone say the car eventually cost $100k to build. I am confused about your comment. Are you saying the car could be built better for half the price? Very curious.

Yeah, I know. I just threw it out there because it had good pics of stripping the chassis and caging it. For all I know, the car never won a single thing. In fatc, at the end of the thread they mention that the car was sold, then totalled in a crash, then parted out.

Okay, I know my questions are all over the place but I am so very curious. Looking at the latest iteration of the 370Z, especially the NISMO edition, I came up with another question. How does the current Z compared to the last generation M3 as far as overall performance is concerned. I ask for this comparison because they are pretty much the same priced when they were introduced new.

It depends on what you mean "for track use" are you planning on time trials like with NASA? Or wheel to wheel. It probably depends a lot on the rules that you run under. NASA has a spec 350z that no one runs in. For time trials, the sedan might actually be interesting because it starts in lowly ttd for NASA. I doubt you are going to be competitive in some no limits ttu style car. Does anyone know more about possible scca run groups?

Just buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT if that turns out to be the case and you'll be good to go.
