Oil warning light on

Recently I have been having the oil light come on when I'm stopped at a light in my 07 G35x sedan. The RPMs drop 300-500 then the light comes on. Then when i drive off the light shuts off. The car has never shut down. It has just under 100,000 Kms. I would appreciate any suggestions you guys might have.
Thanks

Do you have any leaks? Checked oil levels? Oil consumption? Do the basic troubleshooting and report back your findings

If your oil levels are fine I would strongly recommend going to the dealer as your car appears to be stalling thus not having enough oil pressure. As you accelerate, the pressure builds thus the warning lamp turning off.

I wonder if you need a throttle body cleaning. It could be stalling the engine and causing the light illuminate? Just a guess.

^^ This

(although I'm not sure you'd need to see a dealer to fix it)

So does that mean ITB11-018a could be a recall of some sort?

No, an "ITB" is just an internal service bulletin relaying information about the solution for a known problem and are for their service technicians to refer to, rather than have the factory pay for each tech to rediscover the solutione over and over. There is this following disclaimer writen into every ITB :

"Infiniti Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly trained
individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. NOTE: If you believe
that a described condition may apply to a particular vehicle, DO NOT assume that it does. See your Infiniti dealer to determine if this
applies to your vehicle."

That being said, Infiniti readily provides this info to the public ( http://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/loca...d&pp=10&page=2 ), so they aren't totally surprised if you refer to them when you go in for service.

It's a notorious issue with the HR engine that the galley gaskets leak and cause codes P0011 P0021 as well as low oil pressure.

Do you have those DTCs?
