2007 - 2008 V36 G35 has zero lift?

I remember back in the days when G35 was first introduced, Infiniti bragged about the aero of the G35 sedan to have good coefficient of drag and zero lift aero.

Does V36 sedan has the same zero lift aero design?

Yes thanks to the 'flat/enclosed' bottom of the car and i know with its 'aero kit'(mainly the rear spoiler) its said to be zero-lift and without it its pretty close to it

Well, strictly judging from how she felt at an indicated 156, there was no lift to speak of. I seem to recall from the specs that the drag coefficient was also fairly low for a car of this size too.

No biggie, I was just curious.

I like how the butt looks without the spoiler, I think I am going to keep it this way.

dunno about the v36, but the v35 needed mostly the underbody diffuser to get no lift, and reduce the coefficient of friction. IIRC the spoiler was completely cosmetic.

Also, to get coefficient of drag, you divide by the total frontal surface area, so it is easier to get a lower cd with a larger car (tires).

the v36 rear spoiler is apparently tested to be fully functional by infiniti but that is no reason to get a spoiler given that you would hardly ever get to those speeds for it to have that much of an impact so i think when looking to buy it your reason should be cosmetic

From what i recall with earlier documentation on the 2nd gen it's:

- Zero front lift with the front aero kit
- Zero rear lift with the OEM spoiler

But as Kool mentioned, the only real reason most folks do both upgrades are cosmetic. I track the car and reach speeds you wouldn't want to do on streets or on a daily basis. I never really noticed much of a difference with and without those upgrades. I didn't even notice much of a mpg difference with it on and daily driving.

If you take it to the salt flats, perhaps, you'll notice the difference going all-out.
