08 xS Eibach Spring Question
Hey guys. I'm in the process of installing some Eibach progressive springs on my G. I just got done with the front right side and dropped it back on the ground. I was expecting to see the 1.4" drop... to my surprise however, it measures the exact same height as my stock springs. Both the front right and left wheel wells measure 26 7/8".
My question is did I just waste money on these Eibach springs? Is the ride height supposed to be the same as my sport springs? Or am I being a little pre-mature in judgement and I should just wait till I get the other side done? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I see what you mean about the car settling. It's only been 2 days since I finished and I can see the difference now. My wheel wells are almost non existent. All I need now are some wheel spacers to complete the look... Stupid question, are most spacers sold as a pair or as singles? I've never bought them before so I'm not sure.

Wheel spacers are typically sold in pairs.
BTW I can't see your pics that you tried to post.

I've gotten Eibach spring for my 07 g35x. I'll post up some pictures as soon as I get a chance.
It took me good couple of hours to install. I am on my 17' stock rims and the stance is def sexy.
Also, compare to stock G's out on the road, you can def notice the difference where your car would sit way low. Also, you'll notice some difference in body roll as well!
I've also gotten the Rear-sway bar from the G37s coupe. 370Z rear sway can fit on our G35x as well.
Anywho, if you have the X, your front sway is fatter than the sport one... so you are good there, just the rear one is like a toothpick.
They should run about $100-150 used. I'd def recommend getting the springs and rear sway bar. Best money spent.
And if you want a better sound, without spending money on intake... i'd make a ghetto version by cutting the holes in the front of the intake. It produces deeper VQ sound and def meaner sound.
Prob the performance won't be noticable... but the sound is def there. Although, I have the R2C dual ram intake... that mod is cheap and free
As far as camber goes, Eibach's g35x spring isn't a huge drop... so i've been riding my G without the alignment and camber. but noticeable difference in height and corning. (really, the rear sway bar is a great investment!)

Update
I've had some time to reflect on my springs... Here's some pics before I get into it though.

So I've been riding on my new springs for a few months now and so far I enjoy the change. The ride is a bit more stiff than stock, but it's certainly not overwhelming. There is a bit more bounce when i'm hitting a series of rough patches that I can't avoid. I had the car aligned a few weeks after the drop and both the front and rear camber were about .1 degrees out of spec. The toe was just fine. The stance is pretty nice and the body roll has been significantly reduced. The car just hugs corners and feels fantastic. My wheels are the 18" sport rims w/ 225 50 R18 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 tires... great tire by the way. Don't beat me up on spacers either! I'm ordering them today! I measured around 3/4" between the fender and the tires so I'll be looking at some H&R DRS 20mm spacers. Any thoughts?
A funny exchange between my wife and I while being a bit aggressive through a turn:
Wife: "I thought you said that I wouldn't flop around in the car so much after you put these springs on!"
Me: "No, I said the car won't flop around so much. You on the other had will probably flop around even more."
