You would need new brackets.

The brackets, if they are made, are custom and not oem

Just take it to a performance shop and ask for a quote to install them for you, most should be able to fabricate one for you. If you feel like it is too much money or hassle then sell them.

Don't akebonos need brackets to be installed for 2nd gen sedan as well?

The Akebono's don't need brackets to install on the 2nd gen. It was made for the V36!

Between getting custom brackets made for your Brembo's and the downtime associated with it, you are better off selling the Brembo's and getting the full Ake kit.

Granted, the Brembo's are likely better at track duty than the Akebono's, but with the proper pads the Ake's will work just fine. I tracked mine without issues (paired with 2pc front rotors.)

what soundmike said. could you make the brembos work? sure anything is possible. but selling them for a akebonos is going to be a quick and easy install for close to the same performance.
