Trying to find my old car

Hey guys,

I had recently traded in my car and was curious to see if i could find the new owner. I traded it in at Atlantic Jeep in long island, ny. Just thought it would be cool to see who bought it and hope that they are enjoying it. It was a 2007 G35x, obsidian black, black interior, paddle shifters, blacked out window trim, black grill, stillen plate bracket, LED's for all interior light, and a grenade and g35nyc stickers in back window.

Well hope it is someone on here enjoying it!

I believe trying to locate something like that may be illegal in some areas...Some people don't like to be tracked based on what they buy.

i really dont think what he is looking for is illegal. he is simply looking to see if the person who bought his car is on the forums. He isnt stalking them or wanting personal information. I think its a valid question and if in his shoes, i would be curious as well to see if the legacy continued.

That is fine, but if he was trying to track down a previous purchaser of his car, that is considered illegal. If he is doing it for legal reasons, then it is okay to do so, but only through publicly listed websites such as this one. (If car was stolen, etc.)

Technically, it shouldn't be so difficult since he can easily look up the VIN number on CarFax or any other auto checker site to see if it has been sold at a dealership, or if it was sent to auction, etc.
