Launched from 3rd gear=burnt clutch. Help
So coming home tonight I ran into a Z at the stop light, and while launching I didnt realize i was in 3rd. I launch from about 4k all the way to redline and i guess shifted into 4th thinking i was spinning 1st. Realizing i didnt go anywhere i noticed the clutch was stuck in the middle position so i stopped immediately. Going home the car was shifting normal and engaging normal but there was a nasty burnt clutch smell all the way home. My question have i done any damage to clutch and is there anyway of testing it to be ok? Thanks in advance guys

I was going to reply but at this point I really don't know what to say other than seriously OP?
Burnt smell=burnt clutch but a competent mechanic will have to tell you how bad. You really need to learn your car. Also your post is dangerously close to violating forum rules, we don't allow any type of street racing discussions here, but since it seems you didn't quite make it that far due to user error you'll get a pass this time.
