2007 vq35hr...best exhaust

I am literally one click away from ordering a full Stillen Gen 2 cat-back for my 07 sedan. I have a nagging feeling that i might not be making the right decision. If somebody has anything they think i should know before i buy this thing, speak now, or forever hold your piece. I like Stillen so im a little bias. An un-biased opinion would be greatly appreciated. This forum is full of good info.

TIA

I've had my Stillen exhaust on for about a year now and have had no problems and the sound is pretty good i'm just waiting on my HFC's so I can make it sounds better.

Thats what im worried about. I dont want it sounding like a 16 year old kids honda civic with a fart can. But at the same, i'd like a nice tone that comes with the extra hp's. i"ve heard some clips on youtube but they dont do much justice. Youre happy with the sound?

Well yes and no lol. When I first put the exhaust on it was a good sound but having grown use to the sound I wanted to change it and make the sound more aggressive. Looking into some threads about some HFC's I found that people were saying that the combination would give it a little more throaty sound along with some more hp/tq .

I would think that Stillen + HFCs would be just too loud. I myself am a fan of Stillen but I have a Borla exhaust.

To what JAE 35 said. Yes I too am a fan of the ark exhaust . I have the ark grip on my 3.8 genesis coupe. Just decided to try a different route with my G sedan. .

To what Mishmosh said . Yeah i've heard the same thing about the increase in exhaust note but from what I hear its like that with all exhaust and hfc combos's . I don't think I would mind an increase in sounds as long as it has a deeper growl / tone . I plan on keeping my stock cats just incase . Can't wait for my FI Hfc's to get here .

I had the stillen. Fit and finish is great. No increase in HP. In my opinion, it is one of the more milder sounding exhaust. There was also minor drone.

If money's not an issue Meisterschaft FTW. Motordyne, Fast Intentions, and ARK sound nice as well. Ahh, so many choices

I have the stillen cat back exhaust. I hgave had it for a couple years. I upgraded to Z1 HFCs and then eventually I got motordyne ART pipes. The HFCs added a nice lower tone to the exhaust note but they have a whistling sound that they add when high RPM. I eventually wanted more power and that wide open nastiness of test pipes. I really like my exhaust the wway it is but I have enjoyed it with every step. I will see if I can dig up some videos I made.

Most of these exhausts will perform the same. Where it differs are price, sound and looks.

Personally, i had the Invidia and was very happy with it, price, sound, gains and all. I also painted the muffler cans matte-black for a more OEM appearance.
