Exterior Sedan Body Changes

I'm still new to this forum and my interest in the 35 sedan... So I apologize!

I know that the 2006 was the last of the body styles prior and then comes the newer style body of the sedan. To me, from the 07-08 sedan body until current looks the same, But I am sure there are some differences and I would like to find out from the experts! Are they only subtle changes or am I just not informed? I appreciate the information as I am trying to learn.

There's small differences between the models for all years, the base or journey sedans have a different lower bumper style compared to the S models. In 2010 the entire front end had a makeover giving it a new grill design and headlights and included fog lights in the lower bumper instead of being inside the headlight housing. The lower bumper from 2010 on still has differences between the S and base/journey.

So there are no fogs in the bumpers on the 07-08 no matter what trim level... Ahhh... I need to see some pictures of this. Im curious how this looks.

Thank being said, what ten are the differences in the base/journey/sport ? A lip kit or something? I know about the bigger wheels on the sports and some journeys, im just concerned about the other things.

Since my last posting, I have done more looking and I see that there is a different front bumper for the SPORT and JOURNEY. I haven't seen anything labeled as the BASE.

Foglights are all integrated into the headlights, so that I have down.

My new questioning, A. are there 3 different front bumpers or 2? B. Is there a Sport lip and a non-sport lip or more than 2 depending on BASE JOURNEY? C. Where can I see pictures that will make this easier for me... lol

Thanks you guys for the information.... online the links show 07-09 g35/37 Sedan. Are there any differences in the g35/37 headlights going into 09? I know you dont obtain fogs in the bumper until a later year, just curious if the front lip goes into 2009 what else from an 09 might work on a 07-08. Is there a change in the front grill that is interchangable?

All the cosmetics are the same on the 09, it was the first year for the 3.7liter VVEL motor and the 7 speed AT, I also think it was the first year the lighted door sills were available, everything else is the same except the Sport sedan got uglier wheels but nice big Akebono brakes.

So, that being said, What exactly is this "MIDNIGHT Grill" that i'm seeing all over the forum as a change people are doing? If the lights bumpers and such are all the same 07-09 then there isnt much need to try and change things from what I'm seeing.

I finally understand the journey front vs the sport front. So all my hours of reading are making sense now!!

The midnight grille is an infiniti accessory - all the bars except top and bottom are blacked out. It's nice but overpriced. A $6 can of plastidip does the trick.

I like the way you think!! lol The pictures did look like the standard grill was a lot of chrome, probably much more than I would like to have on the car. Is plastidip what people are also doing for the trim around the windows? On certain colors the window chrome doesnt bother me, on some colors it doesnt look right.

No, don't use PDip on the window trim, it will look bad, the rubbery texture doesn't go w/ the rest of the gloss. Use vinyl instead, I've got a simple DIY and for $20 you can't beat it. It will match the side door pillars perfectly (which are vinyl wrapped from the factory). Here's the DIY~

And if you want to paint your tails GTR style here's another DIY

And you can have your grill wrapped, I wrapped mine, cost about $20 too
