2010 bumper conversion - done

Definitely done with the mods for a while, what with this and the akebonos within a few months.

Did the following:

2010 sport bumper
Sport lip
Dipped black grille and fog rings
Painted black headlights
Evil iron man
Osram cbi
Sti-r
Stillen bracket

Any q's on the install, lmk!

Really? I have an 08 too and this conversion is nice. Did you do any cutting or does it just change out?

Its quite a lot of work

everything under the front bumper needs to be changed, headlight, fenders, wind shield washed fluid container ...

It's really not that hard of a swap; the fenders don't need to be changed.

Headlights, washer bottle, energy absorber, and then all the bumper parts. Took me just a few hours to get everything changed over, and that includes installing the lip, and putting in hids for the fogs.

I got hung up a bit trying to get my switchbacks to work, but that's a whole other issue.

Nice. The conversion really is better than any aftermarket bumper/lips you can buy with the benefit of having OE fit and finish. Plus, I don't see many Sport with lip around my parts.

more pics at this thread:

I got a few of the parts used (headlights, washer bottle, and grille,) so I saved about $1200 that way. (headlights were a bit beat up, broken clips and internal mounting points, so I got them for only $500 for the pair. Refurbed them totally when I painted them.)

Total was +/- about $2k.
