Dash lighting out..puzzled
Dash lighting out..puzzled
I just picked up my car (08 G35x) from the body shop this week after having rear end damage repaired. Cosmetically gorgeous. Going to work the next morning in the early hours with my headlights on, I noticed the following:
Headlights work
All accessories work (climate, display, radio, etc)
The gauge cluster illuminated appropriately
ALL OTHER lighting is off: buttons, center stack, shift indicator, power window lighting, the ambient light on the front "ceiling" (near the sunroof switch)
The display is on AUTO and is in "day" mode even with the lights on
I am puzzled. I will bring it back to the body shop for them to deal with it in a day or two but this has really been bothering me.
Fuse???
Thanks for the replies

Ok so nobody seems to know the answer, I will educate you.
Took it back to the body shop who were as puzzled as I was. Just so happens my dealer is across the street. Turns out there is a wireless relay behind the rear bumper that controls the button on the rear spoiler to pop the trunk. That was damaged in the rear collision. Part of the same wiring harness and fuse that controls the dash lighting.
The relay and fuse were replaced and all is now functioning normally. Go figure.
