not affiliated with this seller, just stumbled on this, and it's a great deal. Best $60 you'll ever spend on your car, and an easy diy install.

Do you need to drop part of the exhaust to get this installed? I looked underneath and it looks like it won't fit in place without dropping the exhaust hangers.

Also I would imagine this would be a great improvement for people like me that never see snow, but if you use your X in snow this must have a negative impact on how the car handles in poor weather.

I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Some people claim they've gotten theirs on without dropping the exhaust. I had to drop mine. It was pretty painless.

Re: bad weather...maybe if you're a very inexperienced driver. The rwd bar on the x will not induce oversteer, just bring the car closer to neutral.

yup - mine is an xs, and it had the same small rear bar as the x. Only the rwd cars get the bigger rear bar.

I can't reiterate enough how great this mod is for the $.

i did it and it was a noticeable improvement. I didn't have to drop the exhaust, but it would have made install a lot easier. that's worth it for that price.

wow. I have no idea how you managed to squeeze it through the gap without the exhaust dropped. I tried and gave up in about 2 minutes. Kudos.

Were you able to reach the guy at Philips btw? Get the relay?

Bought it. Thanks I've been looking around for one. Can anyone briefly explain the DIY process?

easier to show than tell - I followed this DIY (the essentials of it, anyway) from someone on the 350 forum (same suspension geometry, and all.)

there really aren't any curveballs. Just make sure to use silicone grease, not lithium (which washes away.)

Which sedan model sway bar is this mod from. Is it the sport model or the regular journey model sway bar? Is there a difference? If so, do both fit, or is one too big for the X?

Anyone know the diameter or thickness of the OEM rear bar? I was wondering if the Godspeed sway bars would fit on the X model as well. They are fairly cheap and products I have bought before from them were decent quality for the price.
