I was at the dealer this weekend and saw your car there. Did you not service it much at the dealer? Supposedly Infiniti likes to see consistent records that things like oil changes were done and that a customer's word is usually not adequate for them to honor a claim like this, especially after 15k miles.
It is a shitty situation, really, because this is something that isn't very common apparently. Rudy said this is the first time hes seen it and he knows a few people that come into the dealership with 200-250k on their HR 07 and 08 Gs and they run likes tops.
Let me know what you end up doing. Sucks this had to happen.

Oh yeah, So you saw it there? Was it torn apart a little still?
No, the dealer is really far away so I rarely took it there to get serviced. I was the first ever hard drive nav update they did though. They fixed my sunroof, I had them to the rear differential oil, a couple oil changes in the beginning. So it's been there off and on over the years. Otherwise I do all my own oil changes, Mobil One Full Synthetic with a quality filter.
Whatever excuse Infiniti wants to use to not stand behind their product is just that, an excuse. In any case I'm done with them.
Yeah I need to reach out to Rudy and see what Luther is willing to do for me. Otherwise I'll probably be taking it to another shop.

It was parked outside all closed up. They were just waiting on what you wanted to do.
I went through the whole consumer affairs thing when my 05 G had a $1500 air bag issue about 2000 miles after the warranty was up. But I bitched them out on the phone and after having a few Infinitis, all serviced at the dealer, they honored it.
I think you got kind of a freak thing... but it is what it is. Let me know what you end up doing.
