shifting to park trouble

Just purchased an 08 G35 Journey Monday. Each time I put in park and turn off, it's telling me it's not in park. I have to jiggle the shifter a bit and it will stop beeping. Obviously I'll get it back to the dealer, but I was wondering if this is a known issue with a quick/easy fix I can do. Seems it's just not quite getting into park.

Thanks in advance!

I have run into this issue on other prior occasions with the V36 models. You can actually fix this yourself and save yourself a trip. Put the car in park, jack up the driver side enough that you can access the shift linkage. Loosen the 12mm nut and it should move a small amount, retighten and see if this fixes your issue. Hope this helps

fixed

So....I ended up taking it to the dealership that I purchased from and they "cleaned it out". He then told me that I have to push on the brake to move it in to park....really....but since they cleaned it, it has worked perfectly since. I don't know exactly what they cleaned out, but I assume they just took the skirt off and cleaned out in there. Either way, its all good.
