Fuel Cluster light went out

Hey guys, I tried searching but could not find a thread that helped.
I was driving the other day and the backlight behind the fuel gauage turned off. I am wondering what the issue is, and what the processor for getting it fixed is. If I have to take it to the stealership anyone have an idea of what the cost will be? I am not longer under warranty.
Thanks for any help.

I got mine replaced due to the needles being stuck in hot weather. They would have to replace the entire gauge cluster. As for cost, I'm not sure since it was done under warranty.

$150 isn't bad, but I have no idea how to install it and don't have time to learn. I guess I'll have to take it somewhere and get it done. Thanks for the help, guys.

Only problem is that you have to find someone to set the mileage on it for you. Once you install a used one then you immediately have a mileage discrepancy if you ever try to sell the car. Most Infiniti dealers deal with a company called Model Electronics and it is an exchange program. When you get one they already have the mileage set to what your mileage was. I would say around 2 hrs. labor would be the charge. Not sure on the part price though. Hope this helps

Ah very interesting point I never thought of. I guess I'll have to take it to the Infiniti dealership and just eat the cost to know it is going to get done correctly.
