Small Coolant Leak
Small Coolant Leak
Hello all,
I discovered a small coolant leak from a metal pipe. Can anyone tell me what part number this is or if this should be fixed? Can't find it on Infiniti parts website. The pipe sits right next to the passenger side air intake box.
I noticed that coolant levels haven't changed much, so it may not be a cause for concern.
Thanks!

Sorry i'm on my phone on the app, doesn't show it. But is it cold where you live? The pipe could shrink a bit because of the cold causing a small leak. When it gets warmer out it should expand and stop leaking.
If you look at the picture it looks weird.
The color is greenish looking like the same color that's in the coolant tank. Is there another fluid with a similar color?
My power steering fluid and transmission fluid are red. I'm still suspecting it is the coolant. Freon leaks have no color, since Freon is a colorless gas right?

It is coolant leaking from the upper radiator hose and it is getting on the high pressure p/s hose assy.making you think it is coming from the metal pipe. The upper radiator hoses are a common leak on these V36 models. Replace the upper hose and both clamps and you will be fine.

I will go check out the upper radiator hose. Are they easy to replace?
I had a leak from the radiator pipe before, which it would drain the reservoir but the coolant level in the radiator looked ok.
I took it to the dealer and they said it was a clamp that was lose and was fixed for no charge.

Radiator hose is super easy to change. You will lose a little bit of coolant but that is it. 2 clamps and that is all. I would personally recommend a regular style hose clamp at the radiator side because I think the factory clamp just doesn't fit tight enough.
