Hi I have Rattle/Squek Center of the Dash below the vents which has worsened with the winter cold. I have tried removing the cowl and padding it like the sticky which I initially thought was the issue but no dice. I also tried placing a towel and padding between the dash with no luck.

It can be described as a loud squeak in the top of the dash just under the defroster vents.

Has anyone else had this issue/fixes?

Car is out of warranty so I need to fix it myself.

 

I don't know if that's related, but there was a TSB for noise from dash and it got something to do with cleaning the ducts I think.

I got the similar issue but it comes and goes. The dealer simply said they can't reproduces the problem and they never did anything about it

 

I have a "chirp" that sounds like crickets from the same general area - doesn't do it all the time... Drives me nuts!

 

LOL same here. I can't find it! Its driving me insane. Only makes noise when I hit bumps

Found & cured my squeak - found an old thread that said it was caused by a loose battery. It said that you hear it squeak inside because it's near the fresh air intake.... Tightened it down, problem sloved!
