This video here is exactly what my car sounds like. I recently did an oil change on the car, but did NOT use full synthetic oil. Could that be the problem? Thanks

also have a similar problem,
not as noticeable and happens on and off. (usually after being driven for more than 40 min)

I also just got a synthetic oil change. What oil did you use?

Air Conditioner Compressor bearings. Common issue on our cars.

Try this, Turn off your climate control and see if the noise changes or stops.
Oh - I noticed mine quieted way down once I changed the Drive belt. Have you changed your Serpentine/drive belt? It needs to be changed every 40-60,000 miles.

I tried turning the climate control off it didnt help. I haven't changed the serpentine/drive belt actually, but i know i need to. Does it make a change in engine bay sound dramatically?

Could be the belt or a bearing the belt rides on that is out of balance, causing a whining noise.

It is similar to a wheel that has a damaged wheel bearing, so it would whine as it rotates. It could be a fan? It sounds like a rotating noise.

Sounds like a bearing / belt. Could be a bearing on, water / power steering pump?

I had a whining/squeal sound at idle and acceleration and a new belt took care of it. Worth a shot if it needs to be done anyway

For me it did. Also you have to change i anyway, if you are past 60,000 miles you should change it, otherwise you risk it snapping/failing on you anyway...not a good thing.

I have this exact same issue, that video posted is EXACTLY what it sounds like. It just started a couple days ago... I will look into the belts and see if that is the issue and will post an update.
