2007 Sedan G35 - Wheels

I would like to put new wheels to my g35... As I mentioned in the title is a 2007 Sedan. I still have the factory wheels and I was thinking to get Vossen vvs084 20" 10.5 on the back and 20" 9 on the front. Do I need to change any other parts to make work correctly? Do you recommend other wheels or sizes? I have never done this before (The car has all his original parts). I appreciate all the help I can get.

How long the tires will last?

Thank you very much

If you're able to fit those rear wheels at all it's going to be some significant body and suspension work. They're well outside of what a novice wants to even consider putting on their car. When looking at wheels you need to look at the height, width, and offset (how far in/out the wheel sits). This is a really nice calculator that you can plug the specs into and get an idea how it will fit: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel...ulator#Results

The stock wheel width on your car is 7.5" and the offset is +45. You can play with the calculator and get an idea how much a different wheel is going to sit in/out compared to stock. You want to stay close to the same "inner position" (+10mm to -25mm should be ok) and no more than +25mm on the "outer position" unless you really know what you're doing.

that link isn't bad, but this one is a better. it allows to you also play with tire size.
http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

check out the sticky for wheel sizes and you can get a good idea of what will fit and then you can decide on a size.

Another thing to consider on rims if you ever decide to upgrade brake system will they clear calipers? Also if your going to lower the car camber kit.

As nice as it would be to have 10.5's in the back, that's just too wide for our cars, unless you make modifications.

none whatsoever. they're 20 x 10.5 +48 on the rears and 20 x 9.5 +40 on the fronts (looking back at it, I could've gone slightly more on the offset for the front to get completely flush).

If you're not going to lower your suspension I'd go w/ 19s and 10.5s will poke a bit at stock height. I have 10" +45 running 295/30/20s but I'm dropped to zero gap on coils. I'd run 10" +45 19s w/ 275/35/19 tires if you keep it stock.

I have 20x10 +40 rears with 275/30 tires and the fitment is just about perfect. Nearly no poke on stock suspension. I posted a pic in the sedans with a/m wheels thread if you're interested.

i personally like work wheels so i've had to order them from japan through authorized work dealers. my first set of works were the vs-xx on an '03 coupe which a friend of mine ordered as he was a dealer at the time. the set on my sedan (gnosis 2) i purchased through a dealer in illinois - touge factory. they had the best pricing on the set i liked. so find a set of wheels you like and then start pricing through dealers that can get you the brand you want. there are some on the forum as well.

as for headlights, i was able to snag a brand new passenger side 07 headlamp w/ afs for $386 on ebay. i had been searching over a year to replace my badly yellowed headlamps. for my driver side light, i lucked out and the dealer replaced it for free when my infiniti manager and i got to talking about some slight imperfections in the bumper/fender alignment one day and then she suggested i take it to their body shop to see if it had been in a fender bender (i bought it certified used with a "clean" history). turned out the driver headlight was basically shattered and had been glued back together, possibly from a collision from the original owner.
