It's a joke. More likely a malfunctioning tachometer. The correct rpm at that speed (73mph) should be 3000rpm but it is reading 2400rpm.

Now, anyone here has come to this issue?

I'm willing to bet it was really hot that day the OP was driving, definitely in the 90's.

I had a malfunctioning tachometer because it was very hot outside and led to my tachometer reading wrong RPM's. I had the whole gauge replaced by my dealer under warranty when I showed them the video of this happening.

I've seen reports on here with hot weather causing a malfunctioning tachometer, so I know I am not alone.

Definitely the tach.. the fundamental engineering of the engine doesnt allow it to go that low at highway cruising speeds.

I read your posts.
However, it was only low 80 on that day and I had the sun visor to cover the whole dash board. It is weird to me and this is the first time out of my 7 years of ownership that the tachometer acted like this.
