Nt 830 nittos on 350 gt skyline.
Just put new Nt 830 nitto tyres 245/45/18 on all 4 wheels on v36 350 gt.Very pleased with the ride and how quiet tyres are. Also better feel to steering not as nervous .Was worried that the front 245s would not look right but all is good.If these tyres wear well then would recommend them.May not be a hard core track tyre but seem to be a good compromise for grip /comfort .
Will get some pix and post them.1st thread I've done, bit of a newbie.Night time here in New Zealand so will try tomorrow .Like I said pleased with tyre .Car feels more planted and drove it on a very wet day today.More stable relaxed feel compared to standard tyres.I know new tyres will always feel smoother but it surprised me how much it changed the character of the drive.I'm a bit of a family man and like a bit of comfort with performance.
I have Nittos on my G and can't stand them. Forgot which model tire, but bought a Porsche 911 turbo and had Nitto's on that as well. Another model of Nitto but are horrible on that as well. Glad to hear they may make a decent tire out there because at this point I would never consider that brand due to my 2 poor experiences. Both cars ride loud and the tires grab every crack in the road. Feel like I am drunk half the time driving.
Sorry to hear that. These must be a new tyre they produce. The main reason I went with them was for low noise and good wet and dry grip.On the nitto catalog here in New Zealand they had a bar graph showing the pros and cons of each tyre.(wet grip dry grip tyre noise etc)The guy that put these on said that the previous model of this tyre was a lot noisier .There main selling point for these in the advert was lowest possible road noise. As soon as I drove off I could tell straight away they were much better. My wife and kids commented on this traveling in the car.Ray
