G35x leaking oil.

Ive been noticing that my g has been leaking oil for a while now not much but my drive way shows it and i think its time to fix it. I checked the oil level and it looks good has any one ever experienced this type of leak before? Its coming form the oil filter area..

If it's not just the oil filter gasket that's leaking, then I'd look at either the large O-ring seal that goes between the oil cooler and the oil filter housing assembly (see part# 21304-JA11A shown here: http://infiniti.sewellparts.com/oem-...edan-2008.html), or the flat sheet gasket that goes between the oil filter housing assembly and the oil pan (see part# 15239-JK20A shown here: http://infiniti.sewellparts.com/oem-...edan-2008.html).

Good luck.

PS. Remember that oil tends to blow backwards from the prevailing wind blowing against it while driving, therefore leaks usually originate forward and upward of where the puddling appears. That means it's even possible that it could be coming from something like the front cam cover assy. (part# 13040-JK26B and shown here: http://infiniti.sewellparts.com/oem-...edan-2008.html)

Thank you vqsmile!
I was not aware there was a o ring in there, and looking at the assembly breakdown made sense. Will be driving down to the dealer on Tuesday

FYI: It's a super simple DIY part if you're out of warranty coverage.
