Alright I don't want any plasti dip hate, just a straight up answer. If I plasti dipped my grill, would i have to take it off or could i just leave it on there and go to work?

You really don't see anything wrong with leaving the grill on to paint it? Crazy..

 

Well I tried to remove the grille, but I could not get it off.

 

Should just be a few plastic clips.

 

If you must do that against our advice, then at least take the grill off before you do it, search online, there should be DIY instruction somewhere.

 

I've seen the DIY, but I'm unable to complete it. I undo the clips and unbolt 10 bolts, but the next step is to lift up this plastic panel, but mine is stuck. I attempted to lift with all of my might, but there are these two white bump type things that are restraining me from lifting up the part. I can't seem to find a way around this. Perhaps if I greased it up to slide it out it would work, but I just wanted to see if there was a way around taking it off and damaging my vehicle.

 

Try pulling straight out towards you one side at a time. Chances are you've unclipped everything necessary and you're good to go

Also. If it is completely refusing to budge its your cars way of saying "don't rice me out-take me to a body shop and get this painted the right way"

To answer your question, you can paint it while on the car. Just mask everything around it and spray away. I would try to get it off though to get better coverage and in the corners and things like that.
