Final Decisions Before Purchasing

Whats up G's,
So I ended up selling my Accord today and now it's time to look for a G. But my question is this. I've done some reading and from what I understand, the 2007-2008 G35 are pretty much the same, the 2009 g37 is the same except CD disk changer, touch screen, and 3.7?? or soemthing (IDK), and 2010 is the g37 when the new dash / exterior looks come into play right?

What I'm debating about is this:

Buy a 2007-2008 G35: More options, more within my budget, can pick between colors. I would like white as my car: found 1 sedan Journey 65k for 16gs.

Or.

Get a 2010 G37 Journey Sedan in Black with 58k miles for 18gs

Since the 37 got the new engine, I heard it added more weight balancing out both cars being about the "same" in acceleration and speed. True?

Is there anything else thats a major difference besides the touch screen screen, upgraded exterior design (i think), and the indash tech / speedometers (changed from color red to blue? I like the 2010 dash a lot better tho) .

I'm just stuck on what I want. My only option is pretty much that G37 right now and I'm gonig to be tinting all 5 windows 5% and black on black windows = FOR SURE GETTING PULLED OVER. I feel like white with front tinted windows looks more bussiness like lmfao .

BUT yes, ADVICE GUYS please I'm trying to buy a G soon. Thanks and much love

I think the 2009+ G37 automatic cars have a new 7 speed transmission which gets a tiny bit better gas mileage. Also, if you get the sport model, the Akebono brakes were a standard option sometime after 2008. The price you quoted seems a bit high for a 2007-2008 with that mileage.

Get a 2009 with the sport pkg, the big Akebono brakes are a big plus, and the 3.7 (at least w/ the 7AT) gets better mpg & better resale.
Same crappy paint though

The only concern I have with the 09 is the same interior dash / interior center console. If I am going to get the 37, I think I rather get 10+. If I'm looking at the 09, I guess I'll consider it more over the 07-08 but the thing is, the 09 is priced 2gs+ compared to a 08 just cause the 3.7.

I'm looking at a 2010 G37 Journey Annivsary Sedan
or a
2008 G35 Sport (Can a sport come AT?)

The G37 is gonna be the better option because of one simple reason: P0011/P0021

I thought I read that it occurs in all HR engines? Or is that false.

The 2009 G37 HR's don't get em?

I guess I'm not entirely sure, but considering its a recall item I figured they would have revised it by the G37 debut.

I'm sorry, I'm new and I'm not very caught up on all the specs about it. But I also read (correct me if I am wrong, or if I misunderstood you when you said "recall" item) , but I thought it wasn't recalled?

I'm not very sure, hopefully someone can step in and clarify. Do the 2009 G37 Sedans / 2010 G37 Sedans still have the codes for the gasket / oil pressure? Is it in all HR Engines? OR only the VQ35HR

Man, now that I'm researching (cuz you are inquiring) I really don't know. I guess I was hoping it would have been fixed by the next gen. I really don't know. Haha

It's been fixed but the exact build date isn't clear, I'm fairly certain 2011+ are in the clear, but 2010 and older is potential trouble.
