Exclamation Quick Transmission Question

I just have a quick question for you all.

I have a 2008 G35 xS and for some reason, the transmission seems to be sticking. Maybe I am just not used to the car, being that I have only had it a few weeks, but when driving at about 40-50mph the RPMs stay right around 2,000. I would think the car has an over-drive it should kick in to, but it doesn't seem to do so. I have shifted it out of Auto mode and into manual, and it doesn't make a difference on the revs between 5th and D.

Any comments or suggestions?

Your transmission is a 5 speed, so running at 2k rpms at 50 mph sounds about right. I had an 07 w/ the 5AT, but now have an 09 w/ 7AT so I can't recall the exact rpms but it runs about 2700 rpm at hwy speeds IIRC.

I appreciate it. I didn't know if I needed to have the transmission serviced or re-flashed.
