Left front squeaking noise when turning left or right

I have a 2007 G35x with 140k km. In the winter, I use 18" winter tires with a 5mm spacer. The suspension is stock. A month ago when the weather started getting cold, I hear squeaking noise from the front left side when I turn left or right. The noise is louder when the car moves slowly e.g. backing out from driveway. Does anyone know what this might be? Is the noise from strut bearing? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe your tire/lug nuts are loose?

Lift up the car and inspect with your eyes. Even better, get a crow and try and move stuff. If it moves, it's likely bad!

If it's cold out, it's probably just a bushing that needs to be greased. Now that we're consistently at or below freezing, my sway bar bushing and squeaking and creaking like I'm driving an old 70s Impala or something.

Like Urbanengineer suggests, get the car on a lift. If thinks aren't obviously broke, hit a few key parts with some lithium grease as a stop-gap for now.

Power steering?

Still have your squeak issue? I had the same issue last year with my car -- would squeak really loud when the weather was very cold (Wisconsin) and I turned the wheel. I flushed the PS fluid (there's a cheap way to do it using a turkey baster / remove-replace x 6-7 times and you've essentially replaced the fluid). Anyways, my squeaks went away after this.

i could only hear it at low speed (parking lot, etc). It was an awful sound. If that's your case I suspect power steering.

Took it to the dealer. The noise is from the driver side lower control arm bushing. Had to replace the whole control arm.
