That's actually fairly cheap. My front bumper was $450 (of course my paint is 3-stage).

Understand that, besides intensive prep work they have to buy a certain amount of that color paint. They more than likely don't have your color code on hand. Then with older cars, they will have to blend the new paint with the older paint on the nearby panels. It's a lot of work.

 

That's about what it costs to get a trunk lid repainted, done right!

Got my rear bumper re-done for $550 so yea that sounds in the ballpark
