Reading this makes me wonder how big of an external cooler to buy.

Been thinking about it some more over the past couple days. I remember having radiators replaced in my parents cars back in the day as the cars approached 10 - 12 years old, with 150K miles, give or take..

So if I correct, isn't some failure expected and all OEM radiators not as weak as mentioned earlier?

Thankfully though, this thread brought this to my attention. I'm going to look into getting the radiator replaced as my G has 127K miles and is an early 2008 purchase.

Now i am at 247k and so far so good still and still drive the car hard haha. I never really looked into the external cooler but i though it was something for the manuals. Also the only other thing to fail was my cats so far.

I still wish i had a manual. I may have to just do a swap lol.

Manuals don't use a transmission cooler.

That link is for the 370Z, but to answer the question I've used them on other vehicles in the past, pricey but basically the best radiators in the world.

Personally I use cheap eBay 2 core aluminum radiators lol. I've never had one fail, but they're not pretty. Sometimes bolt holes and mounting tabs are slightly off but nothing you can't bend/modify into position. For $150 shipped you can't beat it.

Yes I'm aware of my signature and how ironic it is, I'm the eBay king when it comes to a lot of car parts.

Ebay gets a bad reputation. Truth is, a lot of high end manufacturers sell on there.....as well as low end crappola. It's up to the buyer to make an informed buying decision. CSF radiators are the go-to aftermarket choice in the Porsche world. What about in the Infiniti world?

I just watch the vendors I am purchasing on eBay... lots of officials dealer sales departments on there but need to do the research.

I posted the 370Z above because I thought it used the same radiator as the G37 and infiniti parts shows basically the same radiators used for everything

I'd definitely price this out if affected.... just some prep for the future as nothing lasts forever. My stock radiator still is doing it's job though.
