Wanting to make the power socket have power all the time, or at least switchable. I know it's normally powered when ignition is on, but what's going to be the easiest power source when ignition is off? Has anybody else tried/done this?

Sorry, I figured putting it in the 07-08 G35 Sedan would have been sufficient, as pretty much everything I had found show little to no difference between the 2 years. I've got an 08 G35x

You'll have to tap into a fuse that has 12v constant power. You'll find plenty more information searching for hooking up dash cams to constant power. Same would apply for hooking up your power socket.
