Lound boom noise when shifting into 3rd gear in manual mode

I have an 08 g35 auto with manual mode. When I use the manual mode and shift into 3rd gear, I hear a loud boom sound and the car shakes. It does not do this in regular auto mode. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be?

Blown bushing on the drivetrain maybe, inspect the rear differential bushing.

If it's a blown drivetrain bushing you should be able to get it to make the same noise with hard launches and high RPM 1-2 shifts as well
