Oil level >higher< on dip stick
Greetings, what would make the oil level HIGHER on the dip stick? since i have NOT added any?? cars sits in the same spot for last 10 years.....
You always need to let your ride sit for a while before checking the oil level to get a true reading! Checking after you've just pulled into your garage most of the oil hasn't drained back into your oil pan, dip stick will have oil splashed half way up the stick.

Ah, gentleman, the car has been sitting awhile, has NOT been serviced since last year! 63,000 miles on this car, ( gets treated better than most humans) would this have anything to do with those gaskests failing on the front of the motor?? this car does NOT use any oil on 5000 mile oil change intervals, > Mobil 1 0w-30 also has Never had a check engine light on in its life! and that i no of, no one would just stop by and add oil to the motor. right now it looks like its at least a quart to full, according to the dip stick.....
You say the car has been sitting a while. Have you even started it recently? The longer it sits the more the oil drains to the pan. A half quart seems a bit much, but maybe synthetic is more akin to draining? If you haven't run it in a while (a month or more), I suggest starting it and let it get up to operating temp (engines don't like to sit, combustion chambers start rusting faster than you think). Preferably, take it out for a drive. Especially, if it has been sitting a while. Will help work out the moisture, if there is any, and get everything coated in a good layer of oil again. Then let it sit 20 min and check the level.
This is my guess. Any moisture/coolant that has leaked in but hasn't emulsified with the oil is going to sink to the bottom of the pan and not show on a dipstick. I would say drain the pan and watch what comes out at first to determine which one.
