Can't always go off the VIN for that however since they could have just as easily swapped out the calipers as well.

I prefer to measure the outer diameter of the existing rotors, that's a pretty guaranteed way to figure out what EXACTLY you have installed.

 

Yep, but based on the consensus from the other thread, and myself comparing pics of the calipers with ebay pics, I ordered non-sport pads and struts. Gonna be taking it in tomorrow, hopefully everything will fit.

 

I've always wondered how follow-up owners of vehicles that have components "swapped" like that deal with it when it comes time for replacement parts.

 

Never again for me. I missed a completely stock 09 G37 by one day so had to go for this one. Haven't seen any other G in my budget for sale in a 4 hour radius here (not counting the unreasonably priced or beat up ones).
