P1550 code: Battery current sensor

2007 G35S 6MT. Scan tool gives P1550 DTC, bad battery current sensor.

Apparently this has to do with adjusting the load on the alternator. I can't seem
to find a part number for the sensor. No symptoms.

Is this worth investigating further?

Thanks

I have the same issue. It doesn’t really affect the car much I’ve had trouble starting from time to time in cold weather.

Usually it's a bad connection on the sensor disconnect the battery, unbolt the sensor, use a wire brush and clean up the mating metal parts thoroughly, apply electrical anti-oxidation grease, bolt it back together.
