Junkyards are gonna be your best bet if you want the cheapest. I grabbed a set for 12 bucks and the trim for 8 bucks iirc. I've seen some on the forums every so often for about 180 to 250

Was looking for them myself this morning and came across these. Based on prices I've seen elsewhere, I'm not even mad.

is it worth the time and money to retrofit these into our cars? what's the fascination with having paddle shifters?

it allows you to override the transmission for short period to stabilize your control of the car (I, for one, don't like it shifting on me while taking corners) also let's you shift while keeping both hands on the wheel. It's a level of control I like, basically personal preference. If I could have gotten my X with a manual I would have, because I prefer that level of control, but I can't, so I want this level of control with an automatic.

It's also a very OEM clean way to have switches for nitrous

gotcha, I drive like an old granny, so I don't even use mine to really notice anything.

Without the paddles you have to use the shifter to manually change gears, which means you have to slide it over into sport mode and then start selecting gears if you want control, but once you do this you're now in manual mode and have to shift with the **** until you push it back over into Drive. With the paddles you can change gears whenever you want. If left in Drive and you use the paddles, it will revert and take back control after a short time of not shifting with the paddles. Personally, I LOVE the paddles because I like to downshift when coming to a stop, and once you get down close enough to a full stop it reverts back to auto (kind of like how it will automatically go to first gear if you're in manual mode), and I don't have to constantly slide the shifter back and forth

Be careful ordering from InfinitiPartsDeal. I've had 2 good experiences and 2 bad. They can take their sweet time shipping orders, and customer service is rubbish in my experience.

I use infinitipartsonline.com pretty regularly and they're awesome. They are actually an Infiniti dealership in Arizona so you can call their parts counter if you need help or have questions.
