Just bought a 2008 G35 sedan sport manual and it came with an ECU for an 08 G37 AWD auto, so obviously it doesn't start. the only place i can find an ECU is on infinitipartsdeal for just under a grand and it doesn't give me a usable part number. I would truly appreciate anyone who would take the time to check the two digit code on the ECU of their 2008 G35 sedan sport manual. Side note why is their not a massive thread referencing ecu codes to chassis model like the Honda forums? Would be sick to start and very helpful?

 

Because most people just call Infiniti, give them the VIN number and get the ECM part number directly from the source. Then you can hop on eBay and buy another one.

Your car should only be one of these depending on options.

 

I have and they give me the same part number infinitipartsdeal gives me which is 23710-1NA4A (replaced by 23710-1NA4D), and their is no part number in that format listed on the ECU. I have multiple G35 ECU's in my possession and im trying to figure out if any of them will work. When you buy an ECU from a used dealer who also parts out these types of cars they ask for the two big letters/numbers on the front of the ECU, I don't want to buy a brand new one for $1000 if i can get a used one for $100.

 

Ok so you need someone with a 2008 sedan, with 6MT, without RAS, without navigation to post a picture.

Or you can try finding one locally in a wrecking yard with that exact package and see if it's still got the ECM.

I think what you really need is the number that starts with MEC######### from the front sticker, that's how the V35 ECMs were identified.

 

Yes exactly, although i don't whether or not the car has nav or RAS . the only one i have found locally is a car for sale by owner, i messaged him and he says hell look for me when he gets home.
