Hey guys! Just put on an intake and header back exhaust. Do these 08s benefit from the plenum spacer?

I dont see anything really about that for the 08s, so was not sure if that was a thing haha. Trying to get maybe 30whp total from mods.

2008 has the VQ35HR, so you have dual intakes. As far as I know, there aren't any plenum spacers available for the HR/VHR's.

The older VQ35DE's (single intake) typically benefit from the plenum spacer's.

I believe Z1 makes a ported plenum, not sure if you need a tune when installing it.

 

Ya plenum spacers aren't a thing for the HR. Like andrew said, Z1 Motorsports has modified upper intake manifolds, and they also have ported lower manifolds for the HR. It is recommended to get a tune for these mods, but you kinda need one with headers anyway

 

Thanks guys for the help! I did the intakes a few months back , and just yesterday had the top speed y pipe and y pipe back exhaust installed. Feels more peppy in mid range especially. Quieter than I wanted however, so maybe some HFCs. I'm sure some decent gains can be had with a tune. What does everyone recommend?
