Hi everyone I'm new to the website and learning tons from the threads.one thing I cant find and I am having an issue myself is I just bought a ecm from this company called flagship 1 l.I guess it was supposed to be plug and play programmed at my from door.....go to plug it in and my car wont even start ...but with my old ECU my car starts but it's on the idle hunt.now it's at the dealership for programming but they are saying that the company I bought the ecm from gave me a ecm from a 07 get without navigation...my 07 g35x have navigation..is there any way they can flash it..thanks advance.

 

No, you need the EXACT ECM for your car. There is a sticker on the front with a part number that starts with MEC###### and that number needs to match exactly.

I was told that the last 4 digits dont matter so my ecm is mec100-100 E1 6x30
The one the said is an exact match is mec100-100 E1 XXXX
I think is going to be impossible to find a exact match.I read up on a thread were the guy had the exact!!!! problem as me kinda crazy but I guess he go the ecm with everything matching besides the last four characters are you 100% positive it has to be exact match..

Ps. My G is in the dealer and they basically didnt do nothing and I owe them 600 bucks 🙃thanks in advance.

 

Ok so the MEC100-100 E1 is the same on BOTH the ECM's correct?

Also about them being plug-and-play, they absolutely are NOT. Any replacement ECM will need to be programmed to mate it to the BCM and NATS (keys and such). This is for theft prevention.
