re-programming ECU on 07 re: tip-in

Read this in a MT long term fleet update. Also read the same thing in many other reviews. Then searched this board for info and found nothing. I'm close to buying an 07 AT sedan and would like to know if its possible to have a service tech re-program an 07 if I ever decide it needs it. I know I could very well get used to it and live with it, but not sure if the wife can/will.

"Our G35 is plagued by an annoying, overly aggressive throttle tip-in," rants editorat large St. Antoine, who piloted the G up to the annual Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach. Other editors havepreviously noted this aggravation, and it turns out Infiniti is listening. "The Infiniti execs I spoke with atPebble say that, based partly on our criticisms, they've cured this shortcoming with a newly programmed ECU for 2008models."

perhaps your searching skills need some brushing up

Search here or google "G35 throttle sensitivity" or "ITB08-017".

but beware, some have reported that after they had it done, they preferred it better the way it was.

I did search my *** off. Advanced search. Searched the forum. Used 'tip-in', 'tip in' etc.and got nothing. Didn't think it would be found with throttle sensitivity since all the press call it toe-in. Anyway, thanks for the link and for noting what people actually preferred.

Just a note about this

When I first got my 2007 G35x, the harsh throttle was a bit annoying for about a week but fun at the same time lol.

Now, I'm used to it and know how to control my throttle without any software updates. If I want to take off hard, I can...If I want to take off nice and slow I also can. Just takes time to adjust and honestly isn't that bad. I act as if it is a feature

Once applies it cant be un-done so I would really think about it. some people regretted the update.

his another tip too.. .The search function on driver isn't very efficient. your're better off searching in google and look for g35driver links.

i did it and don't regret it. yes, it is fun, and one could learn how to handle the throttle. i'm just getting old and with a wife and 2 kids, don't need the tip-in.

I'd first try resetting the ECU to have the tranny learn/re-learn your driving habits.
