07 g35s 6mt car cuts power at 4.5k rpm

heres a video me in first gear taking the car to 4.5k rpm and this happens any ideas? only code is p2a00(passenger side exhaust manifold sensor) which i already changed a month ago but light still comes back on but never had this problem till today
edit: does this in every gear and in neutral at the same rpms. the power seems to be there till about 4,5k then car shuts off till i let go of the gas pedal

It's a long shot, but check the throttle position sensor. It is a variable resistor and may have a dead spot. Connect an ohm meter to its terminals and look at the resistance as the shaft is slowly rotated. It should increase and decrease as you slowly rotate the shaft. If it has a dead spot, the reading on the meter will jump when it reaches the dead spot.

hey @Mr.GEE appreciate the reply! I’ll look into this ASAP, quick question tho, is the tps built in the throttle body? And if it is the tps would a simple throttle body swap would do the trick?

My 07 G35x has 2 throttle bodies. It's been a while since I tinkered with it, but I assume it has two TPS sensors, one at each throttle body. Go to the link below to access the service manual so you can check how to do whatever service you need. Good luck. Looking at the manual, you may want to check the throttle pedal. I forgot that that is also a variable resistor. It would be the most likely trouble spot than the TPS sensors on the throttle bodies.

Fixed: ended up being an alternator issue. The alternator was overcharging hitting around 20 volts at high rpm causing it to cut power. I replaced alt and it’s good as new.
